Tijit
Pte Ltd is the authorized Service Center for TANKTECH CO. LTD, the Korean
maker of Portable Tank Gauging equipment for marine tankers and tankfarm
applications. Technically, our Service Technician is very familiar with the Korean equipment, we got the information from the source, the maker in Pusan, South Korea. Our technical person has worked for the Korean company for three years from 2002 to 2005 and has hands-on experience with the designs and development of the Portable Tank Gauge system.James Ong also helped to set up the Network of After Sales Service Centers in the other regions around the world.
Tijit's name
can be spelt forward and backwards, and its Korean
word for 'DIGIT" or digital equipment. The company was set up to cater for the need of the After-Sales
Service for the Portable Tank Gauging Equipment here, after the expiration of the employment contract.
Singapore is a strategic location for shipping routes
between the Far East, Middle East, Far East and the European
Union, Tijit serves the needs of the ship tankers on the shipping
route, either passing by, loading or unloading cargo or taking
in provisions and bunkers. There are about 400 vessels calling
in the port every day.
Work on the Portable Tank Measuring System (PMS) began in year 2000, the Korean
R&D team developed the PMS with the Marine Engineering faculty
of the local University. Breaking precedence
to produce
a
totally digital
system working on split-architecture and communication links.
The first model was Class approved in late 2001, and it is
only from 2002 April, the sales of this instrument started to
pick up
Tijit's founder has worked in the Korean company for three years, and has the
opportunity to get the hands-on experience and knowledge of the
PMS. As the Product Specialist, James gave a helping hand to
establish the network of Service Centres through the world and
has contributed some improvements on the designs. After the contract
expired, it was extended three times until March 2005, when
the PMS has been stable in the market, by the introduction of
the new sensor head material and the tape cleaning wiper, the
work with Tanktech was completed.
Tijit Pte Ltd was registered with the Singapore Accounting and Corporate Regulatory
Authority (ACRA) on the 13 th May 2005, and started as a company
to service the TANKTECH PMS instruments under an agreement signed
by both CEO.
